COVID-19

March 27, 2020

To Our Valued Clients

On Friday March 27, 2020 Governor Cooper issued a statewide stay-at-home order for North Carolina residents to take effect on Monday March 30th at 5 pm EST. While we are considered an essential business and we will remain open we must limit the number of staff permitted in the hospital at any given time. We will continue curbside service only. This is going to limit the number of patients we can see daily even more. We will discontinue all routine, non-essential services as of Tuesday such as baths, nail trims, and grooming. This is being done to allow for sick patients to be seen and treated in a timely manner. If you already have an appointment scheduled, we will do our best to accommodate you. If our schedule requires us to change your appointment you will be notified by phone as soon as possible. If you would like to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can adjust our schedule accordingly.

We will only be accepting debit or credit card payments starting on Tuesday. Cash or check transactions will be prohibited because they require so much contact with personal items.

As always, it is our mission to provide the best care possible for your furry family members. We are taking all necessary precautions during this uncertain time to keep our employees and you safe. Please be patient with us as we adjust. We will keep you up to date with all new policy changes as soon as they become available.

The doctors and staff at Dogwood Animal Hospital hope that you all stay safe and healthy.

Warm Regards,

Jessi Santos, Practice Manager

Effective March 23, 2020

To Our Valued Clients

In order to best comply with the CDC’s social distancing guidelines, we will be closing our front lobby as of March 23, 2020. Below you will find the steps that need to be taken if you have a scheduled appointment. Please be patient with us as we make these adjustments to keep everyone safe.

We are still accepting routine appointments for vaccines and surgery as well as sick appointments and emergencies. Appointment times will be extended in order to best serve you, so availability will be limited. Please understand that we may have extended wait times while we make this transition.

If you are feeling ill, please arrange for somebody else to bring your pet in for care or reschedule your routine appointments.

If there are forms to be filled out, please visit our website at www.dahnc.com. They can be emailed to you to reduce touched surfaces. New clients will be asked to fill out all necessary paperwork prior to their appointment.

Re: Update to current protocols and recommendations

As of today, March 19, 2020 Dogwood Animal Hospital is still working under regular business hours and operations. We are communicating closely with all of our distributors. While they have limited in person contact, they are still in full delivery operation with no shortages in supplies. As you know, the conditions and precautions being taken are rapidly changing. In order to ensure the health of your furry family members, we would like to invite our clients to call the office and request vital medications or prescription diets that your pets are currently taking. We recommend that you have up to a 30 day supply on hand.

We would also like to remind you that we are prepared to take additional precautions in order to keep our employees, clients, and pets safe. If you are feeling ill and need care for your pets, please call our office to schedule your appointment. When you arrive, you can remain in your vehicle and we will send a technician to bring your pet inside the office.  We will then continue communication with you over the phone.

As always, the health and safety of your pets is our top priority. Please contact us with any other concerns that you may have.
