Boo Boo Kitty is Dogwood Animal Hospital's mascot. She was admitted to our hospital in critical condition from burns sustained when someone put her on a fire. Through intensive care, numerous surgeries, and a lot of love, Boo Boo Kitty was saved. She lost parts of each of her ears, and she's missing fur over much of her back, but she's still beautiful to us.
Many people ask about Boo Boo when they come to the hospital with their pets -- she has a big fan club!
Boo Boo spends her days in the hospital area, asking for cuddles with the staff, and monitoring the goings-on of the veterinary technicians and assistants. She's been known to scold naughty patients (even though sometimes she's the only one who knows what they did that was "naughty"). She's very important part of our staff meetings when she goes from person to person for all of the pats she can manage.
When Boo Boo was injured there was a front page story in the paper. Donations to help with Boo Boo's care poured into the hospital. Ever since that time, we've had a Boo Boo Kitty fund to help defray the cost of surgery or medical care for less-fortunate pets and for clients that demonstrate the need.
Give us a call if you'd like to donate to the Boo Boo Kitty Fund.
